Aputure STORM 1200x

The Aputure STORM 1200x is a high-output 1200W tunable-white LED fixture featuring Aputure’s BLAIR light engine. Designed as the next evolution of Aputure’s high-output point-source fixtures, the STORM 1200x combines powerful output with an expanded 2,500K–10,000K CCT range and advanced color control.

Unlike traditional bi-color fixtures, the BLAIR light engine utilizes Blue, Lime, Amber, Indigo, and Red emitters to produce a fuller white-light spectrum with improved color reproduction. The fixture also offers ± green/magenta adjustment, giving lighting technicians precise control when matching other fixtures, practicals, or ambient light.

The STORM 1200x features Aputure’s ProLock Bowens Mount, which securely clamps modifiers to the fixture and provides additional stability when using larger accessories. This allows the 1200x to work with a wide range of Bowens Mount modifiers while also supporting high-output accessories such as the CF12 Fresnel.

Built for professional production environments, the STORM 1200x features an IP65 weather-resistant design and integrates into larger lighting systems through LumenRadio CRMX, DMX/RDM, Art-Net, sACN, and Sidus Link control.

With the output of a large production fixture, extensive white-point control, and the versatility of the Bowens Mount ecosystem, the STORM 1200x is equally suited for punching through diffusion, creating hard directional sunlight, bouncing into large sources, or building a powerful soft key.
